Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that I went to IMMERSE in Nashville and it was amazing. I did NOT want to leave. Neither of my songs made it to the semi-finals of the competition (but there were about 500 entries...), but I got feedback on them, got another one critiqued, went to lots of helpful workshops, sat in on a BMI songwriting session, and made some amazing friends.
I'm already thinking about next year. :)
Thanks for helping me so much on this path of songwriting!

Thanks, JT. Glad to be in touch with music makers. I've spent most of my time in the "community" of artists who are much more solitary. So here's to you and your site, and to my "coming-out."

Jt,

I finally sent an invite out to some artist & friends the other night. I noticed some great ones jumped on board. A few outside the midsouth but have performed in the area and want to stay connected. Thanks again for creating such a cool local network. I love the JAVA pic thing. I feel I really haven't done my part as a member in terms of contributing content and spreading the word but I plan to turn over a new leaf.

peace

New CD Project for Charity - The Outliers, "Amid The Flood"

I want you all to know about a unique project we just completed. Brother and sister team, Luke and Myla Smith, have written all original, folk-rock tunes to great hymns of the church in "Amid The Flood." Listen to the excerpts below:
